Dylan Brooks '19 Recruiting Profile

       I haven't played football for long, but have found that I am incredibly passionate about it & want to develop into the best player I can.  I push myself & my teammates hard on every play in every practice & game. My ultimate dream would be to play in the NFL, but realizing the odds I know that will take great effort, sacrifice & discipline.  My long term goals are to become a veterinarian & a firefighter.  With hard work, people seeing my potential & earning an opportunity I know I will achieve them.  What makes me a good candidate for any team is that I  will always try my hardest & never mess around.  I know when I step on the field it's time to work & time to get better.  My mental strength does not allow me to quit.  I am a leader & continuously keep my teammates motivated & focused.  I will work hard & eagerly take direction from my coaches, giving 110% at all times.  I take the same tenacity with me from the field into the class room when it comes to academics.  I pride myself on performing to the best of my abilities in school & realize this is my 'job' right now.  If I am struggling I am not afraid to ask for help & guidance, just like when I'm on the field.  I know that I am on a journey now & academics are just as important if not more important than football.  I want to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.  I can promise you that I will give my best & am always striving to be the best student athlete & person I can be all of the time.
