Personal Statement
The average human blinks 28,800 times in a day. That’s 2.6 hours of blinking each day. What does this have to do with football? When I blink I see flashes of football. Flashes of games past and future, my mistakes and my successes, and my teammates and my coaches. Between training, weights, practice and yes, blinking, I spend over 6 hours a day on football. My dedication, determination, and abilities to lead and improve are what sets me apart from other athletes. I am a three sport athlete who has played nearly every football skill position on both sides of the ball, making me an experienced athlete with a wide variety of skills and high football IQ. I welcome challenges as opportunities to grow, whether playing one of the toughest football schedules in the state, changing positions to better the team, or taking the most advanced AP and honors courses in the classroom. Now when I blink, I see myself in college, continuing to advance myself academically in Computer Science and athletically in football.
