Kurt Pineda '12 Recruiting Profile

Dear,

Hi, my name is Kurt Pineda I am currently 5'7"1/2, I weigh 162 pounds, and I also run a 4.65 40 yard dash and I only plan on getting faster. My most important high school accomplishment would have to be making 2nd team all conference with 43 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 9 pass deflections at the position of cornerback. This is my greatest achievement because my coaches never expected a cornerback to be leading the first two games in tackles, especially junior corner. This year I have added 54 more tackles, two more interceptions, and eight more pass deflections. I also made 1st team All-City, and 2nd team All-Conference.

I believe that I bring many things to the table. For starters I'm a starter on the field and off.  I work to motivate people to their maximum potential in both their football performance and their education. My friends sometimes laugh at me but I tell them " in order to show off all of that skill they have gained in the weight room and on the practice field they will have to be eligible to play on those Friday nights".

I would have to say that I'm looking for a mid sized school in Colorado for several reasons.

1. It is a more personalized experience
2. It will enable me to transition from high school environment to a college one.   
3. Tuition would be much more feasible for my family to assist me in reaching my goals.   
4. I would also like to note that I am very interested in an engineering program at a college that would be a good fit for my athletics as well as my academics.

My goal over all is to go to a college where I can play football and get a great education to start off my life as an adult.

As a lasting thought for my current school, I want to be remembered for being a team player and the guy that motivates everyone to succeed beyond what others think is possible.
