Good Afternoon Coach,
I would just like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this.
My name is Tanner Baum, I am originally from Windsor, Colorado. I play Safety here at Mid-West Prep, a post graduate school in Orland Park, Illinois.
Here is my Mid-Season Highlight tape playing against collegiate competition-

A post graduate school allows me not to lose any eligibility but to be able to transfer in at spring semester. I came to Mid-West Prep for another year of experience and film because I lost my junior year.
I could not play varsity ball because my transfer to the Windsor district was two days into the school year so per CHSAA rules it was considered to be a mid-season transfer. So I had to forgo my junior year of varsity eligibility and I was only able to practice and participate in JV games. I took the opportunity not to dwell on it but to sharpen and enhance my skills at playing Linebacker.
2014 was my first year of varsity football. I finished my senior year with 132 tackles 37 more than anyone on our team and finished second in the 4A Level, averaging 11 tackles per game. I finished the season with a game high 20 tackles and was named defensive player of the game by max preps against the eventual state champions Pine Creek. In the 2014 season I led my team and conference in tackles. I was also named to the 4A Northern All Conference Team and was named to The Coloradoan "All Area Team" as a Linebacker.
I came to Mid-West Prep in 2014 to play outside linebacker and did so for the first 10 games.
My coaches thought I was a better fit, with my size and speed, that I learn the safety position and that's where I finished the last 3 games. After the year was over I was invited to play in the Max Emfinger's All-American Game in Louisiana. I went down there and played safety and finished the game with 22 tackles and the Defensive MVP of the game. I was 1 of 7 players out of the 110 who received a Gold Star rating. I felt like the right thing to do was come back to Midwest Prep and get another year of experience and add more film at the safety position.
I was coached by Defensive Back Coach Jermaine Hampton, who played for the Indianapolis Colts. I am 6’0, 200lbs. I scored a 20 on my ACT, and have 3.0 GPA. Please feel free to contact me or any of my coaches anytime!
Thanks Again-
