Jacob Stanley '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Stanley. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 201 pounds. My forty-yard dash time on hand clock was 4.61. My maximum weight on bench press is 255 pounds, and 315 pounds on squat. I play running back in a spread offense along with the slot receiver position. On defense, I play strong side linebacker. I also kick/punt return. I live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where I played Freshman football and Varsity Football. My junior year I played football in Maine. My first week of practice to begin my sophomore season in Florida ended abruptly. I tore my ACL along with a moderate lateral meniscus tear. It has been a dream of mine to play football at the next level and I am determined for that injury not to deter me. I worked extremely hard everyday for 7 months to rehabilitate my injured knee. When the Spring Season came around, I was voted team captain by coaches and players. It meant a great deal for me because I view my team as my family, and even though I am younger than many of the other starting players, they look to me for guidance on and off the field. Countless times I have been regarded on my respectfulness to my peers. I have acquired a 3.4 cumulative g.p.a over my high school career with all honors classes. I am a member of Future Business Leaders of America. I have also acquired over 120 hours of community service. I love to help others that are less fortunate. In my opinion, it is my responsibility to help others when I have the opportunity. I have never used or expressed interest in consuming alcohol or using drugs. I hope to pursue a major in college in finance or sports management. I am willing to play for any level of the collegiate ranks that reflects academic prestige as well. My family is not the wealthiest and I may need financial help. I think I could help make an impact on a collegiate team freshman year.
