Personal Statement
I love football. I want to play football. Football is a part of me, a part of my life. I am committed to the game. I am a disciplined and dependable player. I am loyal to my coaches, my teammates and to my school. I put in rigorous hours of preparation as an athlete for this game. I put in hard work to practice to ensure peak physical condition, adhere to strict dietary regimens, and hundreds and hundreds of hours of dedication. My vision is to go to the next level, and to ready myself for the next level athlete. Now, I envision my high school and later my college years, to improve my skill set, to add to my personal growth. I know that playing football is a privilege. I aspire to play at the collegiate level. I aspire to play at the highest possible level some day. Football is my extended family. The coaches are my extended family, as well as adapting their guidance towards excellence. I am looking to explore a community that is interested in helping me to continue my development on and off the field. My goals are to explore a college that will match my goals, my education goals, and my post college career goals. I plan to be a dynamic player and a positive influence on the team. I am a leader and it's part of me to always lead by example, being able to make adjustments to the game, while also encouraging my teammates and the people around me. I am coachable, flexible, adaptable and a team player. I am always working to improve my skills, to become more accurate, stronger, and faster. I am always working on my instinctiveness, quickness and toughness to match. I am always working on my elusiveness against my defenders, to increase my speed, and power in this game, and as an overall athlete. I am very coachable, strive to be productive, and one of the hardest working players ; one of the hardest working college recruits out there. Off the field, I work hard, I study hard, and make an effort to maintain a high GPA. I want to attend a college where I can push myself on and off the football field. A college that finds long-term education for high success in life. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I volunteer at several service leadership organizations that offer enrichment to a learning community, that promotes caring as a way of life and strives to make the world better through volunteerism and service. I also play cello and bass string instruments, sail and play water polo. I hope to become inspiring and a great role model to my team and aspiring youth. I want to make myself, my parents, my mentors and coaches proud. As I grow both physically and mentally throughout my athletic career, I will strive to be an asset in any situation. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field, knowing that the way that I carry myself, my professionalism, reflects my team, my coaches, my parents, my overall values, and the high school and college that I attend.
