I am a Class of 2013 student-athlete. As the Quarterback for the Alpharetta High School Raiders, I played an important part in my team’s most successful season since the school opened in 2004. During our history-making 2011 season, we finished 9-2 with the most wins in school history and were 6-0 in region play, winning the Region 6-AAAAA Championship.
With the help of a strong core of talented teammates on both offense and defense, I led the state of Georgia throughout the regular season in passing yards and finished the post season 5th overall in passing yards while playing 10 ½ games. I set school season records in total offense, passing yards, passing touchdowns, and total offense in a single game, with 511yards against Roswell and most passing yards and touchdowns in a single game.
Most recently, as a participant in the 2011 AT&T Georgia Junior Bowl, I was recognized as an offensive MVP leading the East Team in each of its scoring drives. The Bowl game featured the top 90 rising seniors in the state of Georgia. Sharing snaps with 2 other QBs, I led the team for TDs in 3 of my 5 drives. I completed 20 of 31 passes for 227 yards and three touchdowns. Of the six QBs playing in the game, I was the only participant to throw for over 100 yards or complete a touchdown pass in the event. I was also the No. 2 rusher in the game with 40 yards on the ground against defensive players that are considered to be the best in the nation for the Class of 2013.
Being a National Honor Society and National Beta Club member, Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character are very important to me. As an honor student and scholar athlete, I work hard in the classroom and on the field.
My personal goal, as a two-sport athlete, is to graduate from high school with honors and 13 years of perfect attendance, leaving a legacy of leadership, integrity, and academic excellence. I plan to attend college, majoring in aeronautical engineering or pre-law and hope to play college football and/or baseball.
