Dear Coach,
My name is Josh LeQuier, and I’m a freshman football player at Brookwood High School. Football is more than just a sport to me, it’s a passion that fuels my commitment to hard work, personal growth, and excellence both on and off the field. I’m excited to introduce myself as I begin my journey as a student-athlete.
Academically, I challenge myself with Advanced Placement and Honors courses, as well as electives like Advanced Weight Training and German II Honors. I am proud to maintain a weighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted numeric score of 93.6. I currently rank 212th out of 934 students in my class, placing me in the top 23%. This balance between academic achievement and athletic dedication is something I take great pride in.
Physically, I am projected to grow to 6'3"–6'5" and reach 220–245 lbs by graduation. Through disciplined training and a relentless focus on improvement, I am positioning myself to be a strong and impactful contributor on the field.
Discipline and perseverance have always been at the core of who I am. At age 11, I earned my black belt in Tae Kwon Do, which instilled in me a deep sense of focus, respect, and determination. I was also a Top 10 finisher in the Georgia 4H Archery State Competition for three consecutive years, demonstrating my ability to perform under pressure and in competitive environments.
Athletics is a cornerstone of my family’s story. My grandfather, George, was a four-sport college athlete at Wayne State. My dad played baseball at BCC and UCF, and my uncle, Brock, played football at Pitt and Wisconsin. My stepsisters have excelled as well, with Nadia competing in the University of Kentucky’s D1 Stunt program and Kristen set to attend Alabama or LSU as an All-American Cheerleader and Diver. Their success has shown me the importance of dedication, grit, and perseverance.
Outside of sports, I’m passionate about music. Playing both guitar and piano brings balance to my busy schedule and allows me to express creativity while staying grounded.
As I continue to grow academically, athletically, and personally, I would be honored if you followed my journey. My ultimate goal is to contribute to an exceptional football program and make a positive impact both as a player and teammate.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you and demonstrate my potential.
Sincerely,
Josh LeQuier
