My collegiate goals as a starting defensive end/linebacker is to get a scholarship from D1 schools to further my education. The ultimate goal is to get my degree in aviation and ultimately get my masters degree. I want to further my education to aspire in becoming an airline pilot and follow in my brother's footsteps flying for a commercial airline. Choosing this career path will give me the opportunity to provide well for me and my future family.
What makes me a great candidate for the team is that I am very good at working with and cooperating with people. In other words, you could say that I am a team player. I don’t try to make the spotlight or make the “big hit” for the highlight reel. As a defensive end, I always try to sack the quarterback; however if it is not available, I would simply do my job by containing my side, making sure he doesn’t escape to the outside. As a linebacker, I will always lockdown my zone and if nothing comes my way, I can help with my corner. When the ball carrier is making yardage on the other side of the field, I will always rally to the ball.
What makes me different about other recruits is that I am humble and very intensive when given instruction. When a coach is giving me a task or suggestion, I listen and execute with precision. If I don’t quite understand instruction, I ask questions for clarification, but other than that I’m a very focused individual. When I am interested in something, I learn everything I can about it. My interest in football has been going on for 11 years and I’m still not done striving to learn more about game knowledge and technique.
