My name is Marc Basa and I am a hardworking and dedicated Football player. I will do whatever it takes to help my team be successful and for me to reach my full potential as a student athlete. I am a 5'11 and 160 Ib wide receiver from the Big Island of Hawaii. I have been on varsity for my two years in high school so far and the next two years I will be on varsity full time. On varsity I helped our team get to the state championship game which was the first in school history but we unfortunately lost the championship game after 7 overtimes! For jv I was captain both years as well and help kept our team winning with our record being 14-2 for those two years. My cumulative gpa so far is at a 3.6 and I am looking forward to raise that average or to maintain that average for all of high school. My biggest goal is to make it all the way in life and possibly make it big playing football as well. I want to be successful in life for my mom. She does everything for me and she pushes me everyday in life so I can be a better person each and everyday, and when I graduate college and pursue whatever career I'm pursuing I will take care of her and make sure she has nothing to worry about like she did for me. When it comes to choosing a school I would like to go to my options are very big. I mainly would like to attend a school on the west coast but I am open to going anywhere that will fulfill my academic and athletic needs. I currently don't know what major I want right now but as I progress through high school I will give that more of a thought. I look forward to being a student and taking my studies and academics to the next level where I can get my degree while also being able to play and take my time as an athlete .For my athletic goals I would love to keep playing the sport I love at a higher level where I can make an impact on the team and also get my name out there so I can put the Big Island on the map because there is a lot of hard working and talented kids here that just need a little exposure to get themselves out there. I am looking forward to talking to coaches and communicating with colleges and to go through this whole recruiting process!
