Aloha and hello, my name is Alika Sanchez and I am a 5’10” and a 190 pound linebacker. I am a senior at Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus the only Hawaiian private school. My 40 yard dash is around 4.7, my 5-10-5 short shuttle is 4.4, and my vertical jump is 28.5 inches. In the weight room, my records are 285 lb. bench press, 415 lb. squat, and 255 lb. power clean. My accomplishments are being a 3 year varsity starter at linebacker and being a big contributor in my schools first winning record season my junior year. I am also currently the co-captain for my football team. What I contribute and offer to my team is being a leader. I am not a real loud type of guy that gets in everyone’s face or boss everyone around. Instead I get my teammates pump and encourage them to always go hard every play. I lead by my actions and the way I carry myself on and off the field. Since when I was small I have played a lot of sports and worked hard at all of them. It is part of my Hawaiian culture to work hard on and off the field. My hard work, dedication, and leadership that were recognize by my teammates and coaches got me a spot of being the team co-captain for my senior year. I always play my hardest no matter what they score is. I am up to any environment and geographic location. I live in Hawaii and it will be nice to explore other places. I am open for any type of Division 2, Division 3, NAIA, and Junior College schools that I can contribute my skills and also get a great education. I come from a hard working family that has to work hours a day. Since the economy is bad, especially in Hawaii, my mom and dad has to work extra hours to put food on the table for me and my brother. I am still undecided about my major right now but probably leaning toward the health and fitness section like Athletic Training and Exercise Science. My goals are to be able to have football be the key in getting a further education in any level of college football. I also want to make an impact and contribute on my team in any way possible. I will work hard to earn a spot on the team and also to make myself and my teammates better.
