Stepping on the football field in fifth grade was a blessing! Every since then football was my favorite sport and my passion. I am entering my eighth year of football and so far every year has topped the past year. As I entered high school my goal was to get moved up to the sophomore football team as a freshman and I accomplished that goal and ended up starting on defense for the sophomore team and I was also put on all of the special teams. My next goal was to start on the varsity defense as a sophomore and I also accomplished that goal. I accomplished that goal by having one-hundred percent attendance for our teams off-season workouts (Mon.-Thurs. 6-7:00A.M.). Not only did I have 100 percent attendance I transformed my body into varsity linebacker material. I then was able to contribute defensively and had a successful season. I then knew that junior year was going to be very important and that I had to have a big year to make my dream possible. I once again worked my tail off and had one-hundred percent attendance for off-season workouts and I was a off-season captain in which my lifting team came in second place out of eight teams and I also was a summer captain where my team for competitions came in first out of eight teams. I then ran track in the spring to stay in shape and keep up my endurance. I was then nominated to be the captain of the football team and I was nominated due to holding my teammates accountable at all times and being vocal on the field. Junior season went well and I was MSC-West All-Conf., Dupage County ALL-AREA ,Team MVP, and Team Captain and I was also athlete of the week in the My Suburban Life during the season. I then knew that this off-season going into senior year was huge! I needed to take my game to the next level so I started training at Acceleration Sports Performance and my training there consisted of speed, plyometric, power, and recovery workouts. Training there has gotten me quicker, faster, and more explosive. I am also on the varsity track team and I run the 100m and 200m dash and also the 4x100m and 4x200m relays. I am ready for my senior season! You will not find another player with more heart than me...I am as dedicated as they come! I am well rounded as you can tell by my academics and football is my passion! As you can tell I am big on setting goals and then I crush them. Since eighth grade I've had the dream to play football in college...it is also a goal. I can tell you that I will achieve my goal to play football in college no matter what. I know I have what it takes to be an impact player and leader at the next level! All I need is for a institution to be committed to me... and also be a great fit for me academically, socially, and financially. Thank you for your time, Dillon Valdez
