Benjamin Klett '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ben Klett and I am a senior (class of 2016) at Lake Zurich High School.  I am 6’1” and 205lbs running back, linebacker, and athlete.  Freshman year, I was brought up to the varsity to play running back and earned my first varsity letter while learning about the speed of the game.  Last year, as a sophomore, I started every game at running back and lead my team in many offensive categories.  This year I also played significant time at outside linebacker and enjoyed that, especially my first interception.  I lead my team in most offensive categories including rushing yards and touchdowns and finished with 1331 all-purpose yards and was named honorable mention All-State.  My freshman year, the team advanced to the 7A state semi-finals.  My Sophomore year, we finished the regular season 8-1.  Our final record was 12-2 and we finished as the IHSA 7A State Runner-Up.  As a junior we finished the regular season with a record of 5-4 and made the first round of the IHSA playoffs.  I enjoy playing football and I work hard to be successful since I hate to lose.  My other sport is Track & Field.  As a freshman, I advanced to State in the 100m dash with a time of 10.99.  I also run the 200m and long jump.  I continue to work hard on my academics and currently have a 2.91 GPA.  I have been told by my coaches that I have a great work ethic, am very coachable, and a likable kid, I was asked to be one of our teams Huddle Group leaders.  I want to play football at the college level and find a school that will give me that opportunity while getting a good education.  I am committed to working hard in the classroom and on the athletic field so that my goals can be reached.
