My name is Garrett Taylor, and I am a Senior at Class 5A Metamora Township High School in Illinois.
I am a very versatile athlete who will play anywhere the coach and team needs me to play; because of this, I have been a starter at multiple positions at the Varsity level since I was a Sophomore (DE, OLB, TE, RB). My quickness, length, and speed have given me an edge on many of my opponents. I have a 3.2 GPA, and I am always trying my hardest to succeed in both academics and sports.
Football has helped me learn so many lessons in terms of selflessness, commitment, and accomplishing goals. These are big reasons I love the game the way I do. I am also very respectful and was proudly raised to be this way by my parents. Don’t get me wrong, my calm respectful demeanor off the field/pre-snap changes to explosive violence post-snap. I strive for my first step to always be quicker and more violent than those trying to stop me.
My dream is to play at the next level. I will do whatever is asked of me in order to make that happen and will be grateful to any Coach who gives me the opportunity to realize this dream.
