Preston Thompson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Preston Thompson and I am 17 years old. I am 5’9” and my weight is 205 lbs. I am currently enrolled as a senior at Tinley Park High School. I started playing football in the 8th grade as a nose guard with the Matteson Youth Athletic Association (MYAA) program. Once joining the freshman high school football team I changed my position to running back. After playing 3 games I was promoted to the Varsity level as a running back where I was starter for my sophomore, junior and now senior seasons. During my junior year I was assigned as team captain. I was nominated as one of the 2012 Pepsi/Southtown All-Area Team Players and most recently, I broke my schools career running yards record previously set in 1994 of 3034 yards and also the all-purpose yardage of 3,600.. I would love to attend a college near Chicago area since that is where my family lives and would be more financially easier, but I am will to broaden my search to other states/ areas. It does not really matter the Division, as long as I am able to play the game. Playing football is not the only factor in my school choice; they must support my Major in Business.

I feel that I would be a strong asset to any team due to the fact that I am a very hard worker. I am a team leader, and I practice & play hard. I believe in giving the team, my coaches and teachers my very best.  I will give 150% of myself to you and your team. All I ask is that you believe in me and my abilities.
