My goal as a kicker is to go to the highest level possible and compete with the big dogs. I work hard at what I do and believe if I keep working, that could come true.

Final Coaches Comments-
Colin – It was great having you out in Indianapolis to get some solid work in! You do many things very well in your FGs and KOs but we did identify a few pieces to focus on cleaning up in order to help you take that next step in becoming a great kicker! For FG’s – (1) work to avoid shifting your feet around after your lateral steps. Even a few inches difference each time can change the outcome from kick to kick. Also, get both feet pointed to the football in your starting stance. Right now, you have your plant foot faced straight down field and this can lead to your steps being a bit like hockey skating rather than attacking the football. (2) You have good leg speed but I think there’s room to generate even more pop on your footballs. Focus on loading your foot up to your glutes a bit more rather than kicking with just a leg swing. Loading that foot up more will increase the speed at your contact point. For KO’s – (3) strive to get your foot rolled over to get your laces on the football more. This will incorporate your quad muscles and help get more distance/hangtime. Also, stay taller in the chest through your KO’s – you crunch over a bit and it not only limits your extension up/through on your hurdle but it can also stress your lower back. Overall, tremendous job and keep focusing on the details! We’d definitely love to see you at a showcase this December to see where you stack up in your class!
