I see college as an opportunity to continue my growth in the classroom, on the field, and with others working to become their best. Life is a continual series of choices, each one leading to a different path, I strive to make decisions that will lead to my personal best, while working to help others reach their goals as well. My dad always taught me that sports are much more than competitions, that they are a vehicle to learn lessons, work through adversity, and be a positive influence in other's lives, it is always better to do things the right way. I believe everyone is important, I consciously strive to include others, and build a community that supports one another. In high school I earned a varsity letter each year I have played, I have played both offensive line, and defensive line. As a junior I played varsity offensive tackle, and varsity defensive end, leading my team with 45 tackles. I was named the defensive MVP, leading all defensive ends in the district, and 3rd in the district in total tackles, was selected as All-District honorable mention and earned academic all-conference awards. I have had to play positions that I might be a little small, which has made me develop my technique to compensate, I look forward to working with a college program to further develop my size, which paired with technique will increase my impact. I am active in my Church, Wrestling, FFA, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Chamber Choir, and Drama, additionally I maintain a 3.75 GPA. Attending college and playing football will allow me to surround myself with others who are striving to become their best, to develop relationships that will last a lifetime, and to have experiences that help me grow into my very best self.
