Dontae Burch '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Dontae Burch. I’m 5’8" 180lbs Slot Receiver/ Running back/ Athlete.  I have excellent work ethic, solid grades, and i’m a man of Christ. I’m always focused in class and always wanting to do better on and off the field. I come from a life of bouncing around the foster care and finally getting adopted on September 9th, 2019.  I can play in the back field as well as playing on the line as a receivers, return man and am a solid defensive player as well. I like to say “Some people don't like you just because your strength reminds them of their weakness. Don't let the hate slow you down.” I think my work ethic, talent and dynamic ability could add to Any program. I don't take the ability to play this game for granted and am working to get bigger, faster and stronger every day.  I've learned to play against consistent double teams and even defensive game plans built around stopping me. I definitely have a life story  to share for those I get to know but the hard times have given me a chance to build a never give up spirit and tenacity rare for my age. I will make plays for you! More importantly I’m a team player and always seek to put the team first and lift up those around me through words and actions.
