I have been playing football since I was nine years old. My primary goal is to gain a quality education. Initially, I plan to complete a four-year degree in an interest related field that will result in an opportunity to help and inspire others. In addition, I feel that being a student athlete is something I am passionate about and it aligns with my desire to become a physical therapist.
Specifically, being part of a team requires leadership, being coach-able, and always having your team members back. Additionally, my ability to see the playing field, my speed, my reaction-time, and experience in diverse positions make me a good candidate for my current and future teams.
Off the field, I strive to take challenging classes and maintain a high GPA. I have been working diligently with a tutor from the Engineering department at Kansas State University in preparation for my ACT's this year. Outside of the classroom, I have gained volunteer experience at Kansas State University as a guest speaker for future teachers for the past four years. In addition, I have been a substitute teacher for my mom's class that serves adults with disabilities. I also hold a part-time position as a cook for a local restaurant.
Overall, I believe it is important to set a good example for others as a role model in school and in the community. One way I do this is by avoiding drugs, alcohol, and parties. In my current school I believe you can be considered popular and a good role model without doing these things. Finally, I feel that academics and sports require balance, hard work, and dedication.
