Personal Statement

Since I was 6 years old I started playing the sport I love, football.   Always being one of the bigger guys on the team has led me to want to play offensive tackle/guard at the collegiate level.  

As a freshman in high school (2016), my team's coaches invited me to participate and practice with the varsity team.  I played both freshman and JV games as a freshman.   In the last month, the coaches also chose 10 members of the varsity squad to be on the football team's leadership council for the upcoming 2017 year, with myself being chosen.   

I also participated in the Louisiana State Powerlifting Meet and placed 10th in the state as a freshman.   For the last 6 months I have also worked with a personal trainer 3 times a week in addition to football practices, in school workouts, and maintaining a 3.57 GPA.  

I am a coachable, easy to get along with and goal-oriented athlete.   My goals are to finish high school with a high GPA with my eyes set to play collegiate ball, study hard and receive my college degree.  

My options are open and am willing to work hard, attend camps, and do whatever it takes to become a great student athlete.

  • This was a camp hosted by Southern University that was called the Louisiana Showcase, or Recruit the Boot, camp. All colleges in Louisiana had staff present (LSU, ULM, La Tech, La College, Northwestern, McNeese, Southern, Grambling, Southeastern La, Tulane, Nicholls). This was a very well run camp for being a huge camp. The OL drills were challenging but were some of the funnest ones I have been a part of. I got a lot of one on one from coaches there and felt like I learned a lot with great instruction. By far, this was the best camp so far this summer of 2018. I felt like a lot of connections were made also.

  • So many positives were taken away from this camp! Many guest colleges and coaches were in attendance. The drills were some of the hardest I have encountered in camping. However, I feel like I came away with having learned a lot from the LSU coaches and staff. Top notch facility and camp. Even Coach O made a point to talk to parents as he could!

  • A great run camp!! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this camp and learned a lot from the SELU coaches! All were top notch and I felt very comfortable at this camp. Can't wait to use what I learned here this upcoming year. Also made great connections with other athletes in the state of Louisiana and felt like we all came together as fellow Louisiana athletes.

  • Tulane OL/DL camp held in connection with LSU. I felt like I got a lot of exposure at this camp and learned a great deal. A lot of collegiate athletes were there - both from LSU and Tulane - helping run drills. They were great to talk to. The coaches at both of these universities were very welcoming and taught me a lot! Looking forward to the next Tulane camp.

  • OL/DL Camp. This camp was run extremely well. Participated in 40 yard dash, broad jump, and many helpful drills. I learned a lot from this camp.

  • Trenches is a personal training experience with 2 local trainers - Tristan Martin and Steve Schuler. Coach Schuler was a offensive lineman for Tulane University in New Orleans and a member of the Saints team.
