I am a 6'0 230lbs Center at Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Maryland. Although I currently play center I feel that I am better suited to play fullback or linebacker at the collegiate level. This past season I entered training camp as a 210lbs edge rusher. We had a shortage of offensive linemen and I was asked to attempt taking first team reps at center. I quickly excelled at the position and became a leader of the line. I believe that being a team player is more important than playing in the position that I originally desired. Over the course of the season I grew and learned the technique to become one of the most efficient linemen. My stats over the season improved with time and constant hard work. I spent countless hours watching film and critiquing anything I felt necessary. Along with watching film I spent extra time before and after practice working on footwork and fundamentals.
Strength is crucial to every part of the game. I spend a significant amount of time lifting and conditioning at school and in a local Starting Strength Gym. Being consistent and following a good plan have allowed me to dramatically increase my strength in the past year. I have been able to gain weight while also improving my speed and agility.
I believe that academics will not only assist me in pursuing a career, but that it will help me improve on the football field. At school I strive to be one of the top in my class. I also am able to assist others as I grow in knowledge.
