Nick DeBruin '22 Recruiting Profile

I am looking to attend a college or university that allows me to play football while earning my Degree in Criminal Justice.  

Currently in High School, I am a Varsity starter on Offensive/Defensive and Long Snapper for our Football Team. I play for Middlesex School in Concord, MA, one of the top prestigious private boarding schools in the US, graduating class of 2022.

I have played football since youth, and was on the MA FBU football team for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I have also received invitations and attended the exclusive FBU Top Gun Showcases with the top 2% of my grade in the United States in Dublin, OH and Rock Hill, SC.  I am an offensive guard, interior defensive lineman,  and also a starting long snapper.  I enjoy going to camps, such as FBU, USA, NE Elite, and Diamond. Improvement is my main goal, developing and honing my skills and enhancing techniques is what I take seriously.  

I move quickly for my size, hands up consistently to quickly control opposing lineman, hold blocks for the pass and open holes for the run game. I take pride in rounding my blocking skill set for both run and pass games. I also enjoy stopping the run game as much as I like creating it. On defense, I get up quick to get leverage on the offensive lineman and dominate the line of scrimmage. Whether it be run or even pass, I am a fourth quarter player and don't stop until the game is won. 

In addition to football, I am on the Varsity Wrestling team, heavy weight (2nd best in ISL), and a Lacrosse goalie and long pole. I also frequent the weight room and enjoy competing in the gym just as much as the field. 

I pride myself in my academic achievements, and I'm a well rounded Student Athlete.  I continue to hold myself to academic excellence while being a leader on my sport teams, in the classroom, and for my community.    

In addition, I was in the Scouting program and continue to be involved in my community through Boy Scouts of America.
