My name is Jack Dreyer and I am an aspiring college athlete. I am driven to excel both athletically and academically, and I believe I would be a great fit for any team I am given the opportunity to be a part of. I am unable to remember a time that sports were not a part of my life, and as a result I feel there are many reasons why I am different from other recruits.
First, I believe that playing multiple sports makes you a better athlete all around. I have played travel soccer, travel hockey winning a state championship, AAU basketball, track, high school basketball, and high school football. Each of these experiences gave me the opportunity to grow as an athlete, an competitor, and as a person. I was exposed to various sports environments and grew in character as a result.
Secondly, the structure and discipline involved in being an athlete has always carried over into my academics. I strive to do my best academically. I believe that academics must be a priority to have the privilege to play sports. One must be eligible to be a part of a team.
Third, I have a drive to work and to compete. I am currently a running back, linebacker, and kicker for my football team. I took what I knew from youth travel soccer and transfered it to the football field. This past year I attended a Kohl's Kicking camp and based on my performance was invited to the 2019 Kohl's National Scholarship Camp in Wisconsin. I was ranked as a four star kicker.
Overall I have been nominated for being the most dangerous player, the all star player heading into playoffs, and the player of the week multiple times for my area. I was voted all conference in basketball and football and I feel that given the chance I will do whatever I can to help my coaches and my team. So what makes me different? My answer is simple...I will work hard for whoever gives me the chance!
