The first day I stepped onto the football field I was seven years old. From that day everything changed. I fell in (what I knew to be) love with the competitive life of football. Football has molded me into the person I am now, and it continues to drive me to do more in everyday life. I have set my goals high! On the field, in the classroom, and in my life. My drive to succeed will not allow me to fail. From my Pewee Football coaches teaching the basic skills of football, to my Varsity Head Coach pushing to become a better person and player.
A huge accomplishment for me this year was being able to fight for a starting position on defense as a sophomore. It was my first year on the varsity team and I fought hard going back and forth with my teammates for that position and I eventually earned it. I continued to work hard and do anything for my team. All the hard work earned our team a Flint Metro League Championship, the first League title in school history. I was then selected for All-league defensive end for the 2018 season. My drive to be better and improve hasn’t stopped even though the season is over. I am in speed and agility training 3 days a week with a personal trainer and 2 days a week in a group setting. I plan on improving more and more each year to continue the success of my team and prepare me for my college career.
