I started playing organized basketball in seventh grade and have played with a competitive passion ever since. Basketball, along with academics, my parents, and my other activities such as horseback riding, has taught me many important life lessons from a very young age. These include; that hard work pays off, goals are achieved through motivation and drive, the reality that not everything will go your way, and that being humble is a powerful thing.
By following these lessons, I have set high goals for myself in terms of what type of person I want to be and what I want to achieve in my academics. My plan is to graduate with a GPA above a 4.0, and to achieve this I’m taking at least five AP classes in my high school career. Then my goal is to attend a respected school and graduate with good grades and continue on to a master’s degree. I will achieve whatever I put my mind to because I care about everything I do and work hard at it.
