My family told me when I was a toddler that I was "strong like a bull" and I should play football when I got older. I was too young to understand what "football" was. I stepped onto a field for the first time to play in a flag football league at 6 years old. I immediately felt that is where I belonged. The field felt like home. My family was right! I told my parents I wanted to play football forever. They said I had to have excellent grades and give 110% to the sport if I wanted to go to college and play. I declared then that I would get all A's. As a sophomore in high school, I have kept my promise. I am a 3 sport athlete and earned 2 varsity letters (wrestling and baseball) last year as a freshman. I have also maintained a 3.84 GPA with advanced classes.
I love the sport and thrive being part of a Team. I started jr. league football when I was 8. We went to the playoffs every year and lost in the championship twice. Losing fuels my passion to get better. To be better. Not only me but my teammates. I always believe in them and that positive encouragement helped push our 8th and 9th grade team to have an undefeated season. I am passionate about leading on all levels. It is equally important to me to lead off the field by living by example. I want my peers to know that if you work hard and take pride in EVERYTHING you do, then you can achieve great things.
I am excited about my future, attending college, earning a degree and being a part of your college program!
