Before I tell you my story, I’d like to say thank you for your time to read this. As you know I’m Liam Jahnke, and I started playing football in 8th grade. The only game that I didn’t start was my first game, but other than that I’ve always been one of the first on the field. My first year and second year of football I started on Offense as a right tackle and was a sub on Defense for Defensive tackle. This is my third year, and my coaches are putting me as a Right guard and a Defensive end, and I’ll be starting on both defense and offense. I’m putting in the work to be one of the best Defensive ends because I want to specialize as a DE. Besides football I play other Sports on the off season. I started playing basketball in the 5th grade and I had an on and off relationship with it. I quit basketball after my freshman year so now I can lift on the off season. I didn't start on my basketball team, but I did play JV. I also played baseball in 8th grade but found out it wasn’t for me, so I joined the track and field team my freshman year, and I did shot-put and discus on JV and Varsity and will continue to do those events to benefit my strength and balance. I know my height is a problem, especially being in the trenches. I'll be willing to move positions to see what I can do more of and that can suit me better, whatever you can see me playing as is what I'll try for. I will do whatever I can to play football to the next level, I don't want this sport to end in high school for me. My heart is in this sport, I love it too much to put it down that soon.
