Hi, my name is Joe Hess, and I am a sophomore wide receiver. I became interested in the sport of football early in my elementary school years because my dad and I would watch NFL and NCAA games most weekends. This caused me to ask my parents to sign me up for football, and I have been playing ever since.
I have learned a lot through sports over my years of playing. I have learned the valuable lessons of teamwork, leadership, hard work, commitment, and perseverance. I am a student of the game, and I am always looking to learn from those above me and to pass it on to those younger than me. I am someone who doesn’t just learn the playbook for my position, but will learn it for other positions so that I can help out my teammates. I am also someone who doesn’t need to be in the spotlight to work.
My athletic goals are to always push myself to be the best version of myself that I can be, to be a leader to those around me, and to attend a college that will challenge me athletically. I want to play football at the next level, and I am willing to put in the work to get there.
My academic goals are to graduate high school with a full IB Diploma, maintain my 4.0 unweighted GPA, and to attend a college that challenges me academically. I have always been fascinated with business, so I am thinking of studying something related to it in college. I also am thinking about studying something related to athletics like athletic training or exercise science.
I realize that you are busy looking at other recruits, so thank you for taking your time to look over and consider me for your program.
