My 1st year as a varsity football athlete gave me so much more than just football. It has taught me the true meaning of humility, being a team player, sacrifice, perseverance, and drive. Throughout my athletic career, I've always been one of the so called " TOP DAWG's" of my team. However, starting as a freshman on offense was a humbling experience for me. I was no longer the biggest and strongest on the team. This drove me to be a better athlete, persevere through the learning curves, and most of all sacrifice my desires as a defensive player for the betterment of my team.
On September 15th 2016, I was involved in a horrible car accident which almost took my right arm. Despite the doctor's prediction of me not being able to fully use my right arm, I have accomplished placing in Shot-put and discus track & field and becoming a starting center for my team with me being predominately right handed. This has shown me I can accomplish anything as my parents has always told me. I feel as if my athletic abilities and drive for success will be great addition to any collegiate team.
