I aspire to play football on the college level and pursue a degree in engineering along the way. I have always been passionate about football on and off the field from the time I began playing in elementary school. When on the field, I stay focused and give 100 percent in every play. I have often been referred to as a beast on the field. My ninth grade year, I was one of two freshmen who started on the varsity team and played in the playoff games at defensive tackle and offensive guard. This past year, I started out at DT, but after one of our starting seniors had an injury, I successfully stepped up to fill his shoes as MLB and H-back. Our team finished the season strong, winning the MAIS 4-A State Championship. I have always been a team player and feel the team will succeed more effectively with support from each other throughout the game. I have great respect for each of my teammates and feel that good character is important on and off the field, especially in a K-12 academic setting where younger kids are always looking up to the athletes. I am an active member of my church and youth group, and I have had a part time summer job for the last two summers. This has helped me grow to be more responsible and build a good work ethic. I feel that academics is important as I would like to further my education after high school. I have a strong background in math and science, and I have remained in Honor Roll status throughout my education. Just recently, I was invited to join the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta for the upcoming school year. I look forward to hearing back from coaches throughout this recruitment process and finding the best match for me.
