Personal Statement
When I was only 4 yrs old, my parents signed me up for league soccer. I liked the sport but, in every game, I would receive a yellow or red card for being too rough. The following year my parents decided to put me in football and I haven't looked back. I have always been pretty good at football but my dedication to the game really kicked in the summer of 2019 after I ran a 5k with my parents at the Saints Stadium in New Orleans. The moment I stepped onto that field, I absolutely knew that's what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Ever since that day at the Superdome I have been dedicated to pushing myself past limits set for me by my coaches, trainers, players, and myself. This lead me to start a varsity position my freshmen year of high school. Our team might not have won every game but the players taught me so many life lessons and that it was more than just a game, it's a lifestyle. My teammates also taught me what it was to be a leader and the true meaning of teamwork. Now I'm going into my junior year of high school and I'm going to continue to be a leader and role model to my fellow teammates. I'm going to push them to be their best self on and off the field.
