I am strong student-athlete across many dimensions. I attend literally the #1 ranked academic school in the St. Louis area - John Burroughs School. Beyond my core academic performance, I challenge myself by taking multiple advanced courses (honors & AP) and by rounding out my schedule with challenging electives (such as additional years of foreign language) instead of filling my day with free periods or easy electives. I am also a well-rounded student beyond simply being an athlete as I particulate in other clubs / extracurriculars such as Cybersecurity Club, Mentor Group & Music History Club that allow me to give back to my community and school.
On the athletic front, I am a well-rounded / well-developed athlete having played football, baseball, soccer, basketball, track & field, martial arts, swimming & golf growing up. I currently play both varsity football and baseball for John Burroughs in addition to playing club 7-on-7 football for Midwest Boom each spring; so, I am a successful multi-sport athlete in high school.
That said, football is my primary sport and first love. I’ve been playing organized football (tackle & flag / touch) since age 6. I have been seriously training as a quarterback since the age of 9. I have been a major contributor to my varsity football team since my freshman year as I’m both our starting punter and place-kick holder in addition to playing QB. Beyond my play on the field, my coaches will vouch for my strong leadership, character, work ethic, and sportsmanship - and they will substantiate the fact that I like to be coached hard and constantly seek feedback after every rep / play. I am a leader in organized practices as well as other team activities such as film study, lifting, and conditioning. I have the ability to constantly push myself beyond my limits both from a physical and mental standpoint. To that end and in addition to my on-field play, I was awarded John Burroughs’ “Blue & Gold Award” for the most outstanding player as a sophomore during my 2024 season. In addition to my on-field accomplishments, I believe I have a good understanding of what it will take to be a successful college athlete as my father played D1 football in college. I therefore have a feel for the commitment and time constraints necessary to achieve my goals and success both in the classroom and on the field. For instance, beyond my organized varsity practices, I do strength and conditioning work almost year-round. I attend multiple camps and combines each spring. I also participate in private QB coaching literally year-round at least 4 days per week with both Quinn Schaefer (my varsity QB coach and former D1 college QB coach) and Matt Biermann at Elite Football Academy (my private QB coach whom I’ve been working with since age 9 and who annually produces multiple D1 QBs; some of his past noteworthy players are Blaine Gabbert, Brett Gabbert, Brady Cook, Austin Davis, Kaleb Eleby, Sean McGuire, Dillon Duff & Carson Boyd among others). I am also a film-room junkie watching as much tape as possible beyond my practice / team / game footage, as I constantly watch as much additional high school and college film as I can find and as time permits. Lastly, I subscribe to and constantly watch Kurt Warner’s “QB Confidential” to enhance my ability to read defenses both pre- and post-snap.
My goal is to attend the best possible college / university with the most rigorous academic standards and highest possible level of football that will both develop me on the field and equally important, prepare me for life after football from a career standpoint. I believe I possess the athletic and academic ability to achieve that goal. I will absolutely contribute to my college / university of choice on day-1 both on and off the field (even if I am not chosen as the starting QB) from an academic, athletic and extracurricular / social standpoint given my proven athletic ability, work ethic, leadership and character. My goal athletically is to find a school that will consistently give me the opportunity to win / earn the starting QB job beginning day-1 and throughout my career. My goal in turn is to be a multi-year starter at QB and do my part to lead the school to a conference & national championship. If you’re looking for a top-notch student athlete who fits the above profile, I look forward to learning more about your program and ultimately contributing positively to it. I sincerely appreciate your interest in me in advance and look forward to hearing from you. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.
