Personal Statement

Dear Coaches:

First of all, thank you for looking at my profile, and let me share a brief story with you.  It came to my surprise that my coaches were asked if they would let me date their daughter; that is, by my girlfriend's father.  Unaware of all of this I was later told by our Defensive Coordinator, Coach Curtis, that all of them said I was of sound character and that they would let me date their own daughter.  I have been told that this speaks volumes about who I am as a person, above and beyond being an Eagle Scout and other attributes I possess.  I have also been told I am a hard worker, have a lot of potential, and am a solid teammate.

My interest in playing college ball is to further myself as a person by attending a good school that has values that match my own.  I have a broad array of interests in life and enjoy the company of a number of close friends and teammates.  At this point in time I am interested in healthcare as a field of study and perhaps law, but am not sure exactly what field I will choose.  Both of my parents do work in the healthcare field and have college educations.  At college I am seeking a career that will challenge me, and to the opportunity to be a student-athlete like my father, sister and brother before me.

I have worked very hard this past year, and that has been showing up in the results I am getting from key stats, but also in the camps I have been invited to such as West Coast Elite and Football University where I was selected for Top Gun and my evaluation and invitation are included as a transcript on this profile.  This summer I am working as a Lifeguard for the City of Billings, and also plan to keep working hard on my football skills and focus in on working with my team across our summer work outs so we will be ready in the fall.

Thank you again for your interest in me,

Tilden Bütz
