My name is Sadie Meier. I play varsity volleyball at Billings West High. Volleyball has made me value a lot of things, not only in the game but in life as well. Waking up at 5:30 in the morning everyday to go to early morning school, then lifting during school, and then to volleyball practice after has taught me a lot about dedication and focusing my energy on the things that are most important to me. Trying to balance between AP classes, volleyball and still allowing myself to be a kid has been a hard challenge and it’s one that I still struggle with. Summer has been busy with sports specific training early in the morning, open gyms and practices at night, as well as bbq and bonfires with friends and family. Hard work is a big trait that I value. If you aren’t willing to work for something, then how do you know you really want it. I’ve learned that if you want something in life, you aren’t just entitled to it, you have to work for it. If you don’t want to do the work, then you don’t deserve whatever it is that you desire. I hope to play college volleyball and I intend to work very hard for that dream to come true. I may not be the tallest, however, I will be the most positive, hard working player on the team.
