Robert John Sutton III (RJ) '21 Recruiting Profile

    Going to College has been the standard in my family for many generations, it has helped secure a future for my previous family members. Now, this standard has been put on me to up hold but this wont be enough, my whole life, my family has strive to push me past the standards set by my peers.To set the bar higher and higher, to be an example for those before me. So this bar set by my family had to be broken, and raised higher. That is why I have made my decision to bring my football career to the next level, by playing college football. The building blocks of this goal began with my first year playing football and realizing how much I loved this sport, and to leave it behind after high school would not be an option. 

    I have pushed the limits of my mind and body year after year learning new things on my road to this goal. Each team and coach I have encountered has taught me the values of teamwork, dedication, and loyalty on the field. But one other key to a football team was mentioned to me, a leader. This position on a team cannot be given to just anyone, this person must have an iron backbone and the wisdom of a lion. This position was what I worked hardest for, learning a lot from my father who had to embody these traits while he was in the military. This has pushed me to where I am now, this dream is burning brighter than ever before and the support I have gained in this long road will not go unanswered. I will continue to grow higher and higher until i am an inspiration to those who don't believe they can do what I've done, to climb that mountain to greatness. So, until I reach that point, I will keep getting better, not letting any obstacle stop me from obtaining my dreams. 

    Now, I sit here typing this in hopes of finding the team and coach who carries similar dreams with them, so that I can help them obtain their dreams, but also obtain my own.
