In my life I have always gravitated towards the place where I could help the most; even if people ridiculed me for my decision. Up until high school my football life was full of wins, playoff games, and championships, but when I was searching for a high school I looked for where I could help the most, no matter the record. Morris Catholic was 2-8 the year before I came, but after speaking with the head coach I bought into the vision he had for the program, and I was determined from that point on to be great in order to make the team great. I helped develop a hard working culture with my team, and we were able to win our conference and win our first playoff game in 32 years.
The football field is not the only place where I could help. I consistently volunteer with a local program (The Rockaway Challengers) that helps people with autism play sports. There is no better feeling then making a challenger smile, and lightening their day. I have also done volunteer service with my church, my school, and my football team. Academically I always look to improve and challenge myself.
Just like my high school football journey so far I plan on making the college program I play for better. With my desire to help and all of my past accomplishments I have learned patience and determination to keep improving.
