Hello, My name is Alex Unanski and thank you for reading through my profile. I am currently a junior at Holmdel High School in Holmdel,New Jersey. My sophomore year was a new jump start to the new curriculum. This year I am a Junior, I am focused on challenging myself by taking Spanish 3 and Chemistry. Thus far in only a short period of time Im very proud of my effort that I have been putting in. My current GPA is a 3.1. Over the course of my high school career I have taken several TV production courses, this is something that I may want to explore in more detail over the next year of high school and possibly college. Ever since I was four years old soccer was my entire life. I am an excellent athlete, I contribute to after school activities, and also of course play three sports. My basketball coach said “Alex is an all around team player, he makes everybody around him a better player and he loves the sports and the game that he plays.” As well as one of my Special Teams Coach who is always motivating me he says, “Alex is a hardworking kid with a talented leg, he can already kick from 45 plus as a Junior. I believe the ceiling for his potential is very high and with another year of hard work in practice and in the weight room, I think he’ll not only be the best in the Shore but one of the best in the State. He's not just a kicker, he is a an unbelievable teammate, but he’s always pumping his teammates up!”The whole football career started as me and my friends horsing around kicking field goals. It was amazing I knew that I had something special when I kicked a 50 yarder in front of the varsity football coach. The coach asked me if I ever considered playing football. I never knew what this opportunity could do. From that moment on the commitment I made was worth it. In my first year of playing we weren't the best team, it was a so called “rebuilding year” and getting the feel of the new offense. This Junior Season I have really stepped it up. My current stats consist of 17/17 on extra points, As well as 6/7 on field goals with the longest kick in the Shore Conference of 42 yards. I am a leader, and always keep my head up no matter what if I have a bad kicking day or good kicking day. One of the most important things to me besides football is Team Unify. If you dont know what Team Unify is, its an after school club, where you hang and play with kids with Down Syndrome. I became very involved with my number 1 and number 2 fan in the stands Aiden and Jordan. I love teaching them soccer, and hanging out with them. The most important thing to me is my family. I have a younger brother and a older sister. My sister is a great sister, always helping us out when we need help, and always somebody who I can talk too. I am soon to be a Secretary of Team Unify, and I hope to help out kids with Down Syndrome throughout High School. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, Alex Unanski
