My name is Christopher Anderson (Chris for short) and I am 16 years old. At 6’2”, 270 lbs I may not be the biggest linemen but I am a hard worker who believes that dedication and commitment pays off. My passion is football and I believe I have what it takes to play at the next level.
As a Sophomore this year I played football for Franklin High School. I was selected as a Captain for the JV team and also earned a varsity letter. I try to lead by example both on and off the field. During the off season I spend 3 days a week training with my team and 2 days a week with the personal trainers at “Somerset Fitness and Wellness”. In the course of one year I have grown from 5’11”, 180 pounds as a Freshman to what I am now at 6’2” , 270 lbs through hard work and determination.
Off the field I am an avid outdoorsman. I have a love for any type of fishing, especially deep sea fishing. I also coach youth football and take this responsibility very seriously. I try to be a good role model to these kids by setting a good example with my actions both on and off the field. I also got my first job this spring - I umpire youth baseball for our town.
When it comes to academics I have been placed on the honor roll every marking period this year. Long story short… I believe that I would be a great college football recruit because I am a work horse on the field and in the classroom while still believing that I can always improve. It has been a dream of mine since I first started playing football in 5th grade that I would one day play at the college level. I would like to thank every person who took the time to read this statement and I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!
