Michael Cowden '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2" 360 pound defensive Lineman from Aztec, NM. I have started on the Aztec High School Varsity team for 3 years.  I play nose tackle in a 3-4 defensive scheme where my main job is to command double and triple teams, so that our linebackers can make plays. I also played Left Tackle in a spread offensive scheme this year. I hold the squat, dead lift, and bench press all-time lifting records at my school at 600 lbs, 700 lbs, and 345 lbs respectively. I am looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and field. I would like to pursue a degree in Education and hopefully have an opportunity to coach football one day. Ideally, I would like to go to school where I could make an immediate impact on the team, but most importantly I would like to go somewhere where I could continue to grow as a player and learn more about the game.
