Bodie Schlinger '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been fortunate to be part of an athletic high school state contender program in football and basketball.  As a junior I was a major contributor as New Mexico State Championship and was recognized as such as making first team all-district in both offensive and defensive tackle.  I also made first team all-district in Soccer as the Goalie.  I was the only junior who made first team all-state as the State Champion in basketball.  I was also the only player in 3A, 4A, and 5A in basketball who average double-double in rebounds and scoring.  

I have been blessed with genetic athleticism; however, it is my determination of hard work both in the classroom and after school athletic programs that has given me the competitive edge both in the classroom and sports.  My family upbringing values is a major contributor to my character.  I am humble with my good fortune and help others where I can whether being asked to help or if I see others needing help.  I’m frequently recruited to mentor youth programs and happy to do so.  

One thing I will bring to my collegiate endeavors will be to be a standout student and will give the university my full attention to be a scholar student throughout.  My determination to succeed and my fear of failing is why I know I will represent any sport program and university academics well.
