Matthew Terry '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Matt Terry. My hieght is roughly 5'10'' and my weight is 230, I run a 5.63 40-yard dash. After taking a two year break from football my freshman and sophmore year (to focus on making the Varsity hockey team), I started on the JV team my junoir year, as defensive and offensive tackle (with some playing time on varsity as a second string closed tackle). Now in my senoir year I'm starting as a Nose Guard, and second-string Open Guard on varsity. I'm a very driven and hard working football player. If I have a key spot on a team or not, I will still work the hardest until the whistle blows. Playing football at the college level would certainly be a dream come true and a nice way to release the tension from my academic work. Going to school in the east would be great so I'm not to far from home but and college with oppotunities will catch my attention. The size of a school doesn't have an impact on my choice, but it has to have an accredited Architectural program available. I'm potentionally looking to play a sport at a college level as a way to fund my education and to have fun. We will be applying for financial aid, as my mom is in public education and finances are always tight.  Any avenue of offsetting my cost will be looked at. I'm looking to become an Architect, taking after my father in a similar role. I would love to be able to play college football at any level, making an impact is what I love the most about playing football and the motivation behind making an impact and being apart of a team.
