Throughout my football career I was always one of the bigger kids and was more physically dominant than my peers. Although, as the other kids began to catch up I had to adjust my style of play and adapt to my new role. In my first and second year of varsity football I started at right guard at 145 pounds, I was tossed around every game by players twice my size but I never gave up and gave it my all every play. My sophomore year I gained 10 pounds and grew a few inches so I was able to be comfortable on the line. During that season my team only lost 3 games and went to the state championship game in Syracuse. I was the only underclassman in the starting lineup throughout the entire year. Although we did not win the state championship, that year taught me that anything is possible if you work hard enough, and that is what i've been doing. I work everyday to put myself back in a position to win that state championship. After my sophomore year I was switched from right guard to quarterback. This change in position was huge for me because it put me in the best position to be successful. Also, it benefited me greatly because I was able to take the things I learned from playing guard such a playing with heart and to be physical, into the backfield. Playing with heart is one thing that will never leave me no matter what position I am.
