I’ve been playing football for 13 years now. If I had to describe myself in 3 words I would say Grounded, Athletic, and Respectful. One of the people I idolize the most is my dad. My Dad has taught me everything I know when it comes to sports and life in general. My dad is a well- rounded man who loves and trusts in God. My dad has shaped me into the young man I am today.  I was introduced to football when I was 4 and it became one of my great passions. It wasn't until the end of  8th Grade that I began to  appreciate the discipline required to become successful on the football field. I then became more motivated, more driven, and I worked much harder. I experienced increased success and saw the payoff of my hard work and discipline. It wasn’t all me though, I have been blessed to have great coaches especially when I moved upstate. They not only loved the game but they believed in me and knew all along what I was capable of; they did not give up on me. Some things I’ve learned from this sport is that I can push myself harder than I thought and that it takes more than athletics to become successful. With discipline and focus I have accomplished success on and off the football field. My academic goals for high school are to achieve a GPA of 85 or above through all 4 years in high school and to learn what works best for me in order to achieve my goals. My college goal is to get a degree in sports communications and while I desire to become a professional athlete, I do recognize that there are many additional options available to me.
