My name is Chase Bishop and I am a football player at Brevard High School. I am seen by many on our team as a leader and I was twice elected by my peers to be a member of a leadership committee established by our head coach, Craig Pritchett. Academics is a large part of my life and my relationship with football and academics go hand in hand. I am a devout Christian athlete and my faith in God strengthens me on the field and in life. I'm also part of a science research program at Brevard High School in North Carolina. It is a very prestigious program, the only science research program of its kind in the United States. In the program, named TIME, our research is funded and we do projects and experiments on things we are interested in. I have earned many notable awards through the program including two 1st place state awards in different categories, two all expense paid trips to the AAAS conference to present my research, and the presidency of the North Carolina Student Academy of Science. Football is a large part of my life and has taught me many important lessons about life and how to be a man, and I hope to continue playing football after high school to continue learning about life through football.
