Since my childhood, I have loved cows and farming. I have my Grandfather to thank for that. As soon as I could walk, I followed him around our family farm and watched him feed and care for his cows. I have also helped him deliver calves. This has inspired me to become a veterinarian with a speciality for livestock medicine. My goal is to obtain an undergraduate degree in animal science or biology and then continue my education in veterinary medicine.
Furthermore, I enjoy competing in sports. During my freshman, sophomore, and now my junior year of high school, I have played football, basketball, and baseball. My Dad constantly reminds me that hard work beats talent when talent isn't working hard. When I step on the field, I will outhustle anyone. You will not find anyone with a greater passion and will to win than me. I like to call myself an impact player. I make an impact on my teammates with my work ethic and my attitude. I never give up and I continue to work hard even when it’s difficult and this inspires others around me to perform. I have maintained a 4.0 or higher throughout my high school years, all while being a 3 sport athlete. I received the Rookie of the Year award my freshman year of high school. I was selected for All Conference in baseball my sophmore year. I have taken honors classes, AP classes, and college classes. I do not believe in doing just enough to get by. I believe that you should strive to be the best at everything you do. The school I attend is 40 miles one way from my home. Travel time adds to the length of my day in addition to practices and games after school. I thrive under pressure and do my best when I have a busy schedule. I feel that this is preparing me to be a successful college student athete. My goal is to play college football or baseaball. Also, if given the opportunity I would even entertain plauying both.
