Michael Cruz '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing Football since I was 5 Years old. I have played in Havelock, NC my whole life. I have played on 3 Pop Warner undefeated teams from Mitey Mite to Pee Wee (2013-2015). I started at Havelock Middle School as a 7th grader at the Slot Receiver/Jett Back and was among the leaders both offensively and defensively my 7th grade season. My 8th grade season I was the starting quarterback on an undefeated 8th Grade Team, the first at our school in over 10 years. I have played Lacrosse for the past 5 years and recently started on Havelock Middle School track, competing in the 100M, long jump and high jump. My long jump was 18 feet 5 inches at my last competition (April 6, 2017) and I was first in the 100M. I am consistently running under 12 seconds in the 100M as I learn the proper running techniques my times continue to get faster. I was clocked by my Football/Track Coach by hand in the 40 Meter run at 4.7 seconds on April 3, 2017. 

I was named the Starting JV Quarterback for Havelock High School for 2017 as a Freshman and started my first game on August 17th.  We finished the Season as undefeated conference champions. I am a dual threat QB who has been moved to Varsity for a run at a State Championship in 2017.
