As a two-sport athlete, I have learned much about myself through football and track. These sports have taught me great life lessons not only on the field or in the ring but also outside of sports. In football, I am part of a brotherhood and a community of lifelong friends who help me through the highs and lows of what comes with the sport. Football as a whole is eleven guys working as hard as possible for one main goal. Track, on the other hand, is primarily an individual sport where you compete for yourself and alongside your teammates. We all push each other to the limits while getting better and striving for greatness. What you put into the sport by working hard and perfecting your craft, the outcome will show significantly. Being a part of these sports has taught me valuable lessons when it comes to working alongside others as leaders and trying my hardest to lead by example. These sports have taught me how to work and respect others who may see things differently than I do, which is a very important lesson in all aspects of life.
Some of my accomplishments are lettering in football as a sophomore as well as track in both my freshman and sophomore years. I have also lettered in weightlifting as one of the first and only sophomores to do so at my school. I also lettered in DECA as a sophomore. In 2022, as a freshman, I received the Eagle Soar Award, which is granted to students who go above and beyond in the classroom. My grades have always been extremely important to me, and I have worked hard to achieve a balance between my academics and extracurricular activities. In college, I want to do something that requires learning about your body, that may be chiropractic or being some sort of physical trainer. All the classes I have taken have helped me understand the vision it must take to embark on college with all its challenges while balancing my athletic future.
