My passion to play football started at a very young age. In elementary school, I would attend football practices with my grandpa while he was a head coach at a local high school. I have been playing tackle football since the age of nine and have enjoyed every minute.
Football has taught me many lessons. One is rising to challenges. As a kid who has been larger than my peers, I had to play up a grade level in our local football program. Another lesson it has taught me is dedication. I have consistently been in the weight room at 6:00 am three days a week since my 7th grade year. I feel that that both of these lessons, along with many more, set me apart to earn a spot as a varsity offensive lineman as a freshman.
I feel that I am a well-rounded athlete. I have participated or currently participate in basketball, baseball and a thrower for track and field.
I also apply my hard work ethic and dedication in the classroom by maintaining at 3.8 or higher GPA since the 7th grade.
I look forward to the opportunity of applying all of my abilities as a collegiate student athlete.
