Personal Statement
Leadership, tenacity, coachable, student of the game, intelligent, and competitive are all characteristics that have been used to describe me on and off the field by coaches, teachers, and teammates. I feel these characteristics and many others would make me an ideal addition to both your athletic and education program.
Academically my current high school goals are to finish with a weighted GPA above 4.0 (I am currently at 4.16) and to finish in the top 10 of my class of 260 (I am currently 8th). My teachers even recognized my leadership qualities as I was nominated to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington DC in 2016. I learned even more leadership skills from this conference. After high school I am looking to attend a college/ university where I can pursue my goal of getting a degree in business. I would like to own a sports related business.
My passion for football began at a young age when I began to idolize Ray Lewis. He has been a big part of my motivation and inspiration throughout my football journey. I began playing flag football in Kindergarten and began tackle in 3rd grade. I was blessed to have 2 amazing coaches from 3rd through 6th grade that fueled the fire inside me. I owe Coach Ray and Coach Pat a ton of credit in helping become the player I am today. I learned sacrifice, dedication, and love throughout those 4 years and I am fortunate to still have them by my side to this day continuing to push me to my full potential. I have been a starter at linebacker and running back since middle school football. I realize how hard I need to work to remain starter and get an opportunity to make a college roster. I put in a ton of work in the weight room when I am not on the field. I am willing to do whatever it takes to make my dreams of playing college football come true. I am currently a 3 sport athlete in high school and a part of the starting lineup in all 3. I play football, baseball, and basketball. Football is by far the sport I am most passionate about, therefore I am looking to switch to wrestling instead of basketball as a sophomore to add skills to my football techniques.
I feel if you are looking to add a student athlete that will be a leader on and off the field, show tenacity, be coachable, be a student of the game, show intelligence on and off the field, and will be one of the most competitive people then I will be a great addition to your program.
