Personal Statement
My goal for college is to graduate in four years with a degree in architecture and the experiences and skills I need to start my career. I am a good candidate for a college football team because I have been a devoted student of the sport since I was 7 years old. Over the years, my coaches have entrusted me with many positions of leadership and recognized my success as a leader. Through hard work I have grown as a player both mentally and physically. In addition to my devotion during the season, I maintain my commitment during the off-season by participating in morning and afternoon weightlifting sessions as well as competing on the track team. Many people have said that I am not your typical "jock." I have many varied interests, including: playing the baritone for the Marching Mustang Pride, learning all that I can in my honors and college credit plus courses, "nerding out" over Star Wars and the Marvel universe, and filling notebooks with my own creative writing. I honestly can't imagine my life without football. I have learned so much about life by playing football and it will always be a part of who I am.
